Fishing a sunrise or sunset is the best time to catch fish. The beach in front of Journey’s End is the perfect spot. There are two sandbars out from. You can easily cast just inside of the first sandbar where there is a trough. Various species of fish including Pompano and Redfish swim along this channel. A pompano rig with frozen or fresh shrimp works well or fishbits works right out of the bag. If you wander a few homes to the west there is a cut through the sandbar that should have extra activity, but really just out front will do. The day before this picture was taken, my neighbor hauled in a 25inch redfish just in front of the condo.
The early morning right after sunset is my favorite time to fish. It is a beautiful time of the day and very peaceful. Take a beach chair and a coffee or your favorite morning drink and it won’t even matter if you catch a fish.
